Alberta Recreation Corridors Coordinating Committee (active)
The committee is laying the groundwork for a recreation corridor designation program to make trails easier to use, operate and manage. The committee was created from a recommendation that was made in the Alberta Recreation Corridors Legislative Review Report.

Alberta Recreation Corridors Legislative Review Committee (concluded)
The Alberta Recreation Corridors Legislative Review Report to the Minister of Community Development was submitted in September 2003.
During a province-wide consultation, the committee received more than 1,000 workbook responses and 500 people participated in public and stakeholder meetings in nine Alberta communities. Over 70 representatives of provincial stakeholder organizations from adjacent landowners to agricultural interests and forestry companies, trail operators to motorized and non-motorized trail users took part in the provincial forum.
The report has 31 priority recommendations related to existing trails and possible future recreation corridors in Alberta.
